The End of Summer School
Well as one chapter closes (summer school) another one opens. Yes, Summer school is coming to an end, next week for me intersession starts. Then a two week break, then fall semester starts. A never ending trail of school. I was watching the weather earlier this evening and they are saying Oklahoma City could see highs next week between 110 to 115 degrees. OUCH! When will this heat end?

Heat GO AWAY!
As you all know by now I am obsessed with the weather. In saying that I recently just took a glance at the 3 month weather outlook model. It shows Oklahoma City's average high of 95.7 degrees in the month of September and it has Oklahoma City only picking up 1.4 inches of rain from August 1st to October 1st. We have a severe drought in the makings my friends. Stay Cool.

Long Week Already....
It's 3am Wednesday morning and this week has already shown signs of stress. Work to school then school to work then school, notice anything in there that's missing? SLEEP! I've just finished my homework for the night and right after I finish this blog I am going to enjoy my 6 hours of sleep.
I would however like to show off a little bit. In my backyard we are growing tomatoes, jalapenos, onions and cilantro. This morning we picked 30 ripe tomatoes 8 peppers and 10 onions. What does my friend Brittany Dunn and I do with all of this? We make homemade salsa!!!
When does the next cool front arrive? I am so sick of this heat. It makes you not want to go outside, so you're trapped inside all day.

Another Week Down!
It is Friday! We can now all say we have survived another work week. And the heat made the week seem really long. This past week for me was a long and stressful one, but I managed to get through it. Unfortunately, that is life, not everyday is going to be your favorite but life is too short to dread or dislike a certain day. So next week go out there and say to yourself I am thankful to live another day. Hope all of you guys have a safe and 'cool' weekend!

HEAT GO AWAY!
Hey everyone, who is sick of this heat? I am ready for a nice cool front to come in and bring some heavy rainfall with it. I just read off of the National Weather Service website (www.weather.gov) that Oklahoma City has been above 100 degrees 23 times this summer. The 7 day forecast shows no sign of cooling down unfortunately. And yes on Sunday we could hit a smoking hot 112 degrees. The record high for Oklahoma City since they started keeping records in 1887 is 113 set back in 1934. Will we break it? Who knows. We have blizzards in the winter and droughts and 100 degree weather in the summer. Is the world coming to an end? Stay tuned.

Wednesday, July 6, 2011
Today was a quiet day for me. My car has been in the shop the past week, so I was carless today and spent most of my day catching up on homework and cleaning. Since then I have picked up my car and I am running the town with my friend Brittany Dunn. We are currently at the library working on homework together and getting caught up. About to start writing essay #1. Go English!!

Fourth of July
The Fourth of July can be exciting, fun and sometimes dangerous. Even though I felt the news covered the Oklahoma County burn ban very well I also felt not many listened. Just myself driving I counted three fires (which two later confirmed were caused by fireworks) one was in a residential area which is endangering other people's property and lives. I do not mean to point fingers, but come on people if you are going to be stupid go be stupid in a field by yourself and don't endanger other people because of your ignorance. The state of Oklahoma itself is below its precipitation averages anyway, and if I not mistaken I do believe the meteorologists on TV give us the "fire danger" outlook. Maybe pick up a newspaper? Or turn on the news? You would be amazed at how many people don't listen to the news. As Peter Griffin would say: "That's what is grinding my gears!!!"
